Miles Monroe (Woody Allen) is a health food store owner in the 1970s. He is cryogenically frozen without his consent and is not revived until 200 years later, when he discovers that America has become a police state. The underground scientists that unfreeze Miles now rely on him to stop the government's evil "Aires Project," in this classic 1973 Woody Allen comedy that parodies a few plot points from a number of sci-fi books.

After thawing, Miles dodges the authorities by dressing up as the robotic butler of greeting-card writer Luna Schlosser (Diane Keaton). The house where Miles was first taken to hide after he thawed sits atop Mount Vernon Canyon, looking down on I-70 from Genessee Mountain. Few people know its true name, preferring to call it "the Sleeper house," "Clamshell house," or even "Flying Saucer house," but architect Charles Deaton originally dubbed it "Sculptured House,"when he began construction in 1963.
