"Amistad" slave ship

The 1997 historical drama, directed by Steven Spielberg, follows the story of a mutiny on the slave ship Amistad and the legal battle that followed. Based on a true story, this movie highlights the actions of Joseph Cinque (Djimon Hounsou), the slave who successfully led the mutiny. Anthony Hopkins and Morgan Freeman also star in this Oscar nominated classic. The onboard scenes of the Amistad were filmed on the "Pride of Baltimore II" vessel.
